DxLab is on a mission to enable rapid, reliable, and affordable molecular testing
Anytime, Anywhere.
Our History
DxLab was started by MIT and Harvard graduates in 2020 to meet an urgent need for rapid, accurate, and accessible infectious disease diagnostics, which was highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our team of engineers, biologists, and chemists created a novel multiplex molecular testing technology that is faster, simpler, and more affordable than the gold-standard methods, without compromising accuracy. We call this innovation, LAMP+.
Passionate About Public Health
Our technology and products are carefully designed to drive real-world outcomes for public health. We have partnered with leading scientists working to address Mpox outbreaks in Sierra Leone, enhance antimicrobial resistance detection in gonorrhea, lower the barrier for blood stream infection testing, and more.
If you are working on a project that could benefit from:
- DxHub, our compact, portable molecular testing platform
- DxTests, our sample-to-answer, low-cost point-of-care infectious disease tests
- LAMP Master Mixes, fast, ready-to-use multiplex capable mixes
- Lyophilization of these LAMP Master Mixes

DxLab Leadership
Ho-Jun Suk, PhD
Co-founder and CEO
Dr. Ho-Jun Suk holds a PhD in Medical Engineering/Medical Physics (Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology) and has over 15 years in diagnostics, medical devices, and biotechnology. Since founding the company in 2020, Ho-Jun has led the development of DxLab’s multiplex molecular testing method, DxHub platform, and various point-of-care infectious disease tests. Prior to DxLab, Ho-Jun worked on developing paper-based biosensors for low-cost detection of influenza and food-borne bacteria. During his academic career, Ho-Jun’s research was focused on a non-invasive digital therapeutic technology for Alzheimer's disease (which is licensed by Cognito Therapeutics), and he started a company developing an automated syringe for at-home hormone therapy (which led to two patents granted in the U.S.). He currently holds 9 patents, including two covering DxLab’s foundational technology.
Louis Kang, PhD
Co-founder and Business Development Lead
Dr. Louis Kang holds a PhD in Applied Physics (Harvard University) and has extensive experience in deep tech, business development, and entrepreneurship. Louis started and led several companies across a wide range of industries, including biotech, health, climate tech, econometrics, and gaming. He serves as the Vice Chair of the Leadership Board for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard and was on the board of PCH International, a global design and manufacturing firm supporting startups and Fortune 500 companies in commercializing consumer health devices. Louis is also a venture partner at ACCELR8 (a U.S.-based VC fund focused on deep tech) and an advisor for Woori Venture Partners U.S. (the VC arm of one of South Korea’s largest banks).
Sheri Palazzo, MSME
Advisor and Head of Operations
Ms. Sheri Palazzo holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Tufts University, Northeastern University), bringing over 30 years of experience in tech and project management across startups and Fortune 500 companies. She also owns Saplings Consulting, advising early-stage ventures.
